Description
We are a Cornish Craft Beer brewery, based on the edge of Bodmin Moor. Using our own Spring water, combined with the finest modern hops to create punchy powerful beers. We've been brewing since 2008 and have exported to half a dozen countries.

Penpont is a microbrewery which produces cask ales and bottled beers, using a mixture of modern and traditional British brewing techniques.

Between 2016 and 2019 the name Altarnun Brewing was used.

Third by cask, second day of GBBF Winter 20, Elgar Bar. Shared with Finn. Deep amber body, covering off-white head, spotty lacing. Leafy hops on the nose, malty sweetness behind. Malt-fruity flavours, impacts of apricot, caramel, and bittersweet aftertaste with leafy hops. Satisfying. (Birmingham 05.02.2020).

Third by cask, second day of GBBF Winter 20, Elgar Bar. Shared with Finn. Warm golden body, filmy white head, scattered lacing. Oily hops on the nose, hints of citrus. Quite well balanced taste of mid-sweet malts and citrus, moments of grapefruit and oily hops. Rounded bittersweet ending. Smooth on the swallow. Medium bodied. Decent stuff. (Birmingham 05.02.2020).

4/10/2018. Bottle bought during a trip to Cornwall. Poured pale amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, hops with light toasting. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness and body. Slight oily texture, average carbonation. Fair.

4/10/2018. Bottle bought during a visit to Cornwall. Poured golden amber with an average sized off-white head. Aroma of malt, hops, caramel and fruit. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.

Cask @ Bier Huis, Burnley. Clear copper with a small head. It's clean tasting with mild grainy-malts in its taste, although more regular in its nose.

Tired at the theee Horseshoes Waddington. Pale golden colour with a thin white head. Very light aroma slight fruit. Taste light sweet thin light body.
