Description
Om
New Bristol Brewery is a small, but daring, brewery located slap bang in the middle of Bristol. Owned and operated by us, husband and wife team, Noel and Maria.
New Bristol Brewery is our attempt to bring people together over great beer. We believe that
We have a Love of real ale and Love what we do. We don’t see ourselves as maverick brewers, but we do like to tease the boundaries of traditional brewing.

Tried at the James street brewery bath. Deep Amber brown colour with a lacy off white head. Nice malt and fruit aroma, but the taste was dominated by a very bitter aftertaste.

Keg at Evening Star Brighton. This batch is 7.5%. It pours clear deep orange-amber with a thick off-white head. The nose is fresh, juicy tangerine, orange, red grapefruit, lemon meringue, pine. The taste is punchy bitterness upfront, pine, resin, varnish, grapefruit, oily hops, pepper, orange sponge cake and some alcohol sting with a lingering bitter-dry finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Big punchy Ipa. Nice stuff.

Bottle from Beer Emporium, Bristol, consumed at home Sunday 18th January 2015 Golden with a light haze and a thin white head. Tiny bit sour on nose, mildly bittersweet in mouth. I am a little disappointed with this one, I was hoping for a much more interesting beer from these guys this is a tad pedestrian and forgetable. A5 A3 T6 P3 Ov11 2.8

Bottle from Beer Emporium, Bristol, consumed at Frank, (camper), Baltic Wharf, Bristol, Saturday 3rd January 2015 Pours black with slim light beige head. Light coffee on nose with a touch of vanilla, soft and smooth, but a little punchy. I have had a few today (and some big beers) so bit fed up of rating, but rest assured this is good. On tap (didn’t note if handpump or keg), at The Royal Navy Volunteer, Bristol, Friday 2nd January 2015 Wow second beer in and another absolute cracker, bloody marvellous. Pours amber, good clarity with thin white rim of bubbles. Thick in mouth, slight syrupy consistency. Wonderfully bittersweet, resiny in mouth, dry and bitter finish. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Cask-conditioned and unfined at the Gryphon, Bristol 5/9/2014. Hazy, medium brown in colour with a big, frothy, off-white head. Very much an American brown in style, with big hopping, heavy tannins and a slight hint of red currant fruit, before a long and bitter finish. Enjoyable.
