[ As Pig & Porter Slow Black ].Clear dark black brown color with a small, fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, toffee, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, toffee, dark malt, roasted, raisin - figs, spicy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask at the 2017 Manchester Beer Festival. Gold pour with a white head. Corn, sweet citrus and vanilla aroma. Same doo dah in the flavour, Not bad.

Cask at CPK, Pimlico on 18th January 2017. Hazy amber with thin off-white film and virtually no lacing. Nutty aroma with sweet, pungent malts. Tangy citrus and sweet malts in-mouth. Slight chalkiness takes the edge off a sweet but balanced finish. Medium bodied with an engaging mouthfeel.

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and light hoppy - fruity and old hops. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 081016

Bottle obtained on a visit to the brewery. Pours clear golden brown with a good sized lasting off white head. Aroma of biscuit, toffee, bread, hop and malt. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Finish has a bit more bitterness developing. Well balanced, very nice.
