Keg at Cock Tavern. It pours clear deep amber with a medium light tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, fresh, juicy, tangerine, peach, candied peel, sherbet and toffee. The taste is dry, bitter, pine, resinous, toffee, pretty juicy, orange peel, grapefruit, tangerine, pithy, some warming alcohol, varnish a light spice with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Drinks dangerously easily. Nice.

The taste is rather bitter, pine, resin, loads of smoke, wood, mild toffee sweetness, spice and dried fruits with a lingering dry, smoked finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Works rather well.

Cask at Egham Beer Festival, 11/11/16. Pine, sap and sour berries come through in the aroma. Dark amber, with a fluffy white head. Medium bitter, gets sour in to the finish. Soft and light bodied.

Bottle at Colin’s. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, cocoa, plain chocolate, dark fruits and dried cherry/cranberry. The taste is dry, rich roasted malt, toasty, earthy, liquorice, pine needles, Eccles cake and some spice with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Sort of ok. Not great for the style though.

Cask conditioned 5.2% at The Berry Walmer. Dark brown cola coloured beer lasting tan head. Some chocolate some autumn fruits. Dates plums nuts. Like a dark heavy date and walnut loaf. Some light pepper finish. Ok. A little bit of sourness maybe. Sour autumn fruits.
