Draught at Stateside Craft, Vancouver
Cloudy light amber color with small creamy head. The aroma is mildly fruity, but the flavor is stale and dusty, old beer, a bit yeasty and cheesy; a bit of resiny hops.
I’m not impressed.

Sample at the Super Bowl Viewing and Beer tasting on 02/01/2015. Not 100% sure this is a different beer than the "Scottish Blonde". Pours a clear straw-gold color with a medium bright white head that dissipates steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of biscuit malt, hay and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of bready malt, herbal hops and a touch of fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a short grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at Stateside, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out mineraly notes, some grass, and biscuity malt. Flavour brings out earthy hops, biscuity malt and a mineraly quality. Pretty standard, with nothing overly interesting. The mineraly quality diminishes the beer a bit. Meh.

16 oz can out of a 4 pack. Pours black with a cola like appearance and fizzy head. Love the can by the way. Blacked out version of the signature Hilliards look is quite refreshing. Huge roasted malt aroma with a hint of coffee. A little on the lighter side in body than I expected from this stout, though the flavor is big. Nicely done. Enjoyed this beer.

Canned:
Amber, somewhat hazy color. Head looks nice.
Malty brown sugar aroma with hops in the background.
Flavour is on the malty side; caramel, raisins, brown sugar with a hoppy bitterness sneaking up on you.

Sample from 335 ml .can. Dark, amber colour with a thin, lightly tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel, citrus, floral hops, fruits and grasses. Taste is light bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with caramel malts and fruits. Good, enjoyable.

Can 35,5 cl. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head. Sweet, biscuity malt in the nose with a hint of citrusy malts. Medium body, biscuity, caramellish malts - a very typical American malt backbone here. Subtle but present bitterness. Text book example of the style. 100115

Burk från SB. Mörkt bärnstens, nästan kopparfärgad. Doftar svagt av karamell. Inledande honungssötma som sedan ersätts av en kemisk bitter beska. Inte kul.
