Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green, a rare Worcs rate, 10/05/14. Very lightly hazed golden with a moderate off white covering that thins to spotting. Nose is earthy, citric peel, grain, toasted bread, orange. Taste comprises lemon rind, straw, light vegetal tones, bitter orange. Medium boied, fine carbonation, semi drying cose. Mediocre GB, forgettable.

Cask @ Baum, Rochdale. Golden-amber with a creamy head. Has a decent milky texture that makes its malty undertones rather nice. The aroma is not too great though, floral but like a plant that doesn’t want you near it!

Cask, gravity at Bromyard Folk Festival Bar, Herefordshire, Saturday 14th September 2013 Another very nice effort from Popes. Gold in colour with a small white filmy head. The nose is slightly perfumey but with a little sappy resin also apparent. Hoppy, fruity a little juicy and very moreish. Really liked this though clearly not quite at the level of the Dark Star American Pale Ale that Loz was on but good all the same. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5

Cask, gravity at Bromyard Folk Festival Bar, Herefordshire Friday 13th September 2013 Pours more light amber than gold which is how it was described, with a filmy white head atop. Light fuzzy hoppiness, buzzy on the tongue. Juicy, hoppy beer, pleasant steady sweetness I guess this would have honey in it, but if so it isn’t that noticeable. Think this is my first from this new brewery, good stuff. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.5
