Description
Back in 2010 Richard Johnson had an Idea, plant 9 apple trees, selected either by there vintage cider quality, or silly name. That was the start of his enterprise. So each year the orchard gets a little bigger and the amount of cider we produce increases. It still feels like a hobby, just on a larger scale than first planned.

Our goal is to produce the highest quality pure juice cider and perry possible. Several years of hard work has been needed to bring both abandoned orchards and newly planted ones to life.

We believe that a cider and perry from a North Wales producer should be made from the fruit of that region. Picked and processed by hand with care at every stage of the process to ensure our products are the best they can be.

All of our cider and perry is made from pure juice, no water or concentrates are added. This results in slight variations from year to year as no two summers are the same. This is how we like it.

Pours a misty bright gold, no head, still. Aroma of apple pulp, skins, light leather but its mostly quite fruity. Taste wise the dryness is much more evident and the fruitiness a little less than expected. Nonetheless it has a tart fruity tang to it with some citric notes. Slick body. Decent.

On tap (BIB) at Hops, Crewe. Pours golden orange with no head. There’s ripe apples in the aroma, plus a hint of tomato. In the mouth it is fairly sweet to start off with a creamy texture, but some tannic sharpness soon becomes evident. Apple juice is the main flavour with just a hint of chewy pineapple leading to a slightly try finish. This is decent – nice and understated.
