Description
Tutts Clump Cider is a family business that was set up in 2006 by Tim Wale. Tim (who is an Agricultural/Motor Engineer by trade) was born in the hamlet of Tutts Clump, West Berkshire in 1957 and still lives there. Tim is assisted by his wife and five daughters - two of whom are full time.

Cider making started as a hobby with production of some 25 litres. By 2013 we were using around 90 tonnes of home counties grown apples and crafting some 60,000 litres of Proper Cider which is increasing year on year (71,000 litres in 2019). We do not filter, pasturise or carbonate our products and the only additives are sucralose and sulphites in small quantities. We do everything in house and package in bottles, cans, bag in box, pouches, casks and kegs.

500ml bottle from Nags Head Reading. Gold slight haze no head. Yes it has eating apples. So it lacks a bit of tannin and backbone. Not much carbonation. Some dryness towards the finish. Its just a tad dull.

Had this at The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon 15.04.11 with Peter (ex Pitstop brewer) and owner of this new pub My memory was starting to fail me for descriptive words by the time that myself and Peter luanched into this one. However I do recall it was a very decent drop of cider, pouring golden with a very light haze, good juiciness and medium sweet if my memory serves me correct. Lovely tangy fruity drop and moreish in a dangerous bad head the following morning type way. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Polycask, at The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon, run by Peter Fowler (former Pitstop brewer) 15.01.11 Pours hazy gold with a few stray bubbles, reasonable clarity. Good fruity aroma, taste is wonderful a touch sweet but loads of body and this is a gorgeous perry. Iโ€™m very impressed, this is my favourite of the night, I could get seriously messy on this stuff. Iโ€™m sure that this was the correct perry that Peter told me! A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8
