Keg at the Imperial, Glasgow. Slightly ruddy light to mid-brown, clear with a film of off-white head. Light malty aroma. Not much there. Taste is decent although muted: sweet at first with a stewed tea bitterness in the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Not great but enjoyable enough for what it is.

Belhaven pub tucked away to the south east of St Enoch centre, just north of the Clyde. Claims to be Glasgow's oldest pub from 1792. Olde wordle inside with a large U bar and a small snug to the right. Lots of live music. The beer list isn't great, with a couple of Loch Lomond on cask and a couple of West on keg. The rst is macro. Small whisky selection with some good 'uns hidden away a bit. Lots of bars like this in Glasgow: worth checking out for atmosphere but you won't get many ticks. Over 18s only.

Draught keg at the Scotia Bar, Glasgow. Very light brown and ckear with a good-sized off-white head and lots of cloudy lacing. Caramel aroma, a little metallic. Sweetctaste, more caramel, a little malt. Not much here. Light joy with medium carbonation. It's as basic a bitter as you'll ever have.

Old, opulent pub with a circular bar in the middle of the main area. There's a bistro, restaurant and snug bar as well. Worth seeing, and they deal well with the crowds, but the beer isn't up to much. One cask beer (Wild Swan by Thornbridge on my visit) but they also have an excellent whisky selection. You won't get ticks but I can't not recommend this place for the atmosphere. Card only.

Keg draught at the Pharmacie Arms, Syston. Light gold, hazy with a spotty white head. Gentle stone fruit aroma, touches of cantaloupe. Sweet, sugary taste with lots of melon and some blueberry and pink grapefruit. Finish is more bitter. Medium body with spritzy carbonation. Special stuff!

Keg draught at the Pharmacie Arms, Syston. Dark gold, a bit of haze with sporty white head. Light perfumed aroma, woody notes with some caramel. Big bitter taste, some citrus peel. Flowery character. Medium body with heavy carbonation. Just didn't really vibe with this. I love a good West Coast, but this one seemed to be lacking the character if not the intensity.

Keg draught at the Pharmacie Arms, Syston. Dark gold, a fair bit of haze with a spotty white head. Harsh lemon, boiled sweet. Taste is very sour, big tart lemon taste. It's all a bit artificial - like the Skittle that it's seemingly attempting to mimic - but it's fun. Not Vault City's best beer by any means but they certainly aren't short of imagination.

Handpull cask at the Pharmacie Arms, Syston. Light underripe peach yellow, hazy with a massive off-white head. And it does have a light stone fruit aroma, some papaya, vanilla malt. Sweet taste, getting loads of cantaloupe and some banana. Little bit of bitterness emerging in the latter half of rhe sip. Good body, soft carbonation. Very nice. A lot more subtle than I expected but it handles well.
