Very nice IPA, mildly hazy, fresh tropical fruits, bit of rindy bitterness, some pale piney notes. For me, it lands between an NEIPA and a WCIPA. All around, highly enjoyable.

This beer is close to being great. I like everything about it, except that all the characteristics seem a bit neutered. Some nice sun-baked pale malts, dried citrus peel, pine, a little earth and British yeast. With the guardrails off this could be a stunner.

Well it is certainly sweet! Almost doesn’t taste like a barley wine. The orange character is pretty strong, at times jammy and like orange creamsicles. There’s also caramel, toffee, stewed berries, mellow booze, sugar syrup. Lightly sticky finish. It’s interesting stuff. The orange blossom gives it a lift.

And I love these baby cans that Metalhead do. Perfect for big beers.
