Can from Hopduvel. Hazy dark brown, stable, foamy, beige head. Aroma of candied date & plum, dried fig, toffee, molten brown sugar, nougat, brandy. Taste has very sweet date, prune, fig & pear in a brown-sugary, nougat-like, artisan American pecan pie-like, almost viscously syrupy malt body. Herbal hops in the finish, quickly dominated again by dried fruits, toffee and warming liqueur-like alcohol. Full body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Decadently sweet, but very moreish. I definitely prefer this over their Pastry Stouts.
