Can. Adnams at Holkham. Clear deep copper. Slim white foam. Nutty and bready. Nice red IPA like hoppage. Taste is semi sweet with decent bitterness. Drinks easy overall without any particular festive-ness. Light bitter finish.

Bottle. Ringstead Stores. Clear deep chestnut brown. Slim sticky tan bubbles. Nose has a bit of burnt rubber. Some soap. Whiff of actual malts and hop in there too. Taste is dry and lightly bitter. Soapy slick mouthfeel. Not got too many redeeming features this one. That soapy thing is grim.

Bottle, for which there’s a separate entry but sod that. Picked up at the Adnams shop in Holkham. One of those you’re surprised you never ticked yet. Anyhoo. Malty with light citrus peel. Drinks fine.

Bottle probably from Drove Orchards. Clear pale copper colour. Suds of sticky off white foam. Nose has buttery malts. Wort. Some leaf mulch. Taste is semi sweet with a moderate bitterness. Slick and mostly flat. Dry thin watery finish. Crap.

Can picked up at the Adnams shop in Holt. There’s some tie-in or something, according to the chap serving in there. Dunno. This is pretty pedestrian overall. Not too clean and barely a whiff of hop. Drinkable. Just.

Bottle at the Loon Factory. Loads of depth here. Lovely minerality and plenty of floral herbal bitterness. Fantastic condition too. Ace.

Bottle via the online shop. Pale amber with a good lasting white foam. Nose is all on the hops here, first off. Sorachi comes through with lemongrass and light coconut. Restrained citrus. Back of that there’s Mills funk and clean oak with semi sweet malt throughout. Taste is juicy semi tart and nicely bitter. As per your best Mills it drinks like pop. Juicy semi tart lightly bitter finish. Top tier.
