Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. Opened up silently which was weird. Poured ok though. Hazed deep orange with a slim white foam. Hmm. Not sure all is as intended here. Anyway. Jellied fruit on the nose. Light smoke. Vanilla. Spices. Taste is super sweet with light dryness. Bit heavy all around. Flabby mouthfeel. Sweet finish. Yeah definitely not right this one. Hard work.

Can. Morrison’s. Not Belgian anymore, it would seem. Dirty hazy gold. Slim dirty white foam. Astringent hop on top of milky grain. Some citrus in there. It’s a brand new beer but doesn’t smell like it. Taste is super sweet and pretty acrid and green on the hop bitterness. Dry and bitter. Nah. Went down the sink with two thirds still to go.

Can. The Bear Sheffield. Clear pale gold. Very decent frothy white head. Mostly cerealy malt on the nose. Biscuity. Any hop character comes across privet leaf and grass. Nice bitterness throughout though. Very clean. Light crisp dry bitter finish. Aroma maybe could pop more but anyway it’s a good logger bier.

Through The Hopback - Lemondrop from Abbeydale Brewery

6/10 — Appearance 7 Aroma 6 Flavor 6 Texture 6 Overall 5.5

Cask. Abbeydale Beerworks. Pale gold with a soft haze. Tight white foam. Bit of a Moonshine thing here, and I really don’t like Moonshine. Chalky and soapy. Dry and thin. Barely discernible hop character. Half pint seemed to last an age.
