Tap at Beer Hunters. Opaque color, small beige head. Coffee and chocolate in the nose. Full-bodied. Toasted malty, coffee, some hops, cocoa. Finish has sweet spot. Flavour is good but a bit simple for its ABV

Tasting glass draft @ Beerlovers Bar. Black, creamy head, looks lovely. Nose is thick mocha, chocolate, sweet chocolate, mocha, chocolate pralines, low roasted coffee. Taste is sweet mocha, chocolate, coffee, low coffee roast, easy mocha & milk chocolate, sugar, pretty easy, nice sweet notes. Like this so much more than previous version which was far too umami for me. This is solid mocha, chocolate roast, sweet, low coffee bitterness. Very thick & creamy, could use bit more complexity but very nice all the same.

Keg at The Pint Shop, Oxford, Friday 28th October 2016 Pours black with a tan head. Wow this is a corker, lots and lots of chocolate a little creamy edge, roasty, bitter edge, I rather like the hoppy bitter bite throughout. Loving the dark bitter chocolate. This is a jolly good beer. A8 A5 T9 P4 Ov17 4.3

Bottle thanks to Wingmane at level 42. It pours jet black with a thick tan head. The aroma is rich, very fruity, jammy berry, dark fruits, chocolate, juicy, vanilla, toffee, tangy fruits and toasted coconut. The taste is rich roasted malt, hard roast, charred wood, ashy, cacao nibs, treacle, toasted coconut, mild astringency, liquorice, tar, herbal, jaegermeister and vanilla syrup with a dry, warming finish. Full body, fine carbonation and slick mouth - feel. A bit rough around the edges, but still good fun.
