Corked bottle. Oak and vegetable notes in the aroma. Moderately sour flavor, lemon, grapefruit and oak. Dry. Some bitter notes. Good geuze, maybe a bit shy.

2 February 2020. At Brugs Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke & Pieter! Clear golden, lasting, small, frothy, white head. Aroma of plum compote, vinegar, kiwi, straw, aceton/nail polish & alcohol too. Taste has sour apple, plum, kiwi, vinegar accent & bitter straw. Bit funky & lemony. Dry, tart finish, faint old grassy hops, lingering vinegar & wood. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Refreshing but not too enticing for me at that point. Needs a decent revisit.

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy golden, large frothy white head. Aroma: Funky, tart grapes, old hop. Taste: Over moderate tart, white grapes, grapeskin, tannins, some wood and citrus, hints of stone fruit and wheat. Some old hop too. Starting a bit dull but getting better towards and at the finish. Medium body, below average carbonation. Quite a lot of tannins at the finish. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Pretty smooth. Nice one.
