Note that the Thornbridge Hall series (largely one off and specials circa 2010-15) deliberately carry the Thornbridge name in their title.
Innovation Passion and Knowledge in all we do - and to have some fun along the way. The Thornbridge story began back in 2005 when the founders Jim Harrison and Simon Webster recruited two young brewers to brew on a second hand 10-barrel kit in the grounds of Thornbridge Hall. Soon demand outstripped supply and the need for a new Brewery became clear. In 2009 a brand new state of the art brewery was built at Riverside, Bakewell to meet with demand and allow Thornbridge to develop their range of beers.
Brewing still takes place today on the original kit at Thornbridge Hall, which allows us to experiment with new brews, create bespoke Hall brews, collaborations and assist the main brewery in Bakewell.

From cask. Pours clear and golden yellow with a creamy white head. Aroma is mild coconut and milky. Malty, mild fruity and distinct coconut nutty. Fruity and slight malty flavoured with a coconut note into the finish.

From cask. Pours clear and golden amber with a small off-white to slight tan head. Aroma is mild fruity and malty. Fruity, roasted malt and slight caramelish. Bitter and fruity into a dry bitter finish. Nice one.7-4-7-4-14=3.6

Cask at the CASK Pub & Kitchen on 2 August 2010. Clear gold with thin white lacing head. Fruity and floral aromas. Notes of elderflower, fruits and a late burst of peanut nuttiness during the main flavour crescendo. Grass and floral hop abound in the finish, on a zingy mouthfeel.

Cask at CASK Pub & Kitchen on 2nd August 2010. Hazy gold with a white foam head and part lacing. Strong hops aroma of grapefruit and a touch of cheesy yeastiness. Beautiful grapefruit and herb bouquet in main kick an a tight citrus hoppiness on back of the mouth leading to a dryish grassy finish. Pleasant textured mouthfeel.

Cask via handpump at CASK Pub & Kitchen on 2nd August 2010. Russet with yellow-tinged thin foam head. Hoppy aroma with a touch of aniseed spice in the nose. Sharply hoppy in main kick with a bitter aftertaste. A few berry fruits in background and a light textured, agreeable mouthfeel making the beer easy to drink despite its strength. A well crafted ale, a privilege to enjoy.

Cask. Slightly hazy golden with a small off-white head. Fresh citrusy nose - perhaps even a whiff of ginger. Light body, flat, citrusy even a hint of lime. Fairly hoppy finish even with a little alcohol showing. 220110

Cask @ Bon Accord. Dark golden colour, off-white head. Aroma of grapefruits, some malts, floral. Flavour is malty, hoppy, grapefruit, citrus, Good drinkable, with a bitter and dry finish. Good stuff.

Cask at the CASK Pub & Kitchen on 31 July 2010. Clear amber with white foam part-lacing head. Rich fruitiness, mainly summer berries aroma, with yeast and hop notes in background. Main taste is of grass and interesting fruit (gooseberry and a touch of elderflower), rounded citrus and a little smoke. Fruity finish and light mouthfeel. A lot f delicate "happenings" in a very drinkable beer.

500ml bottle. Pours a light orange with a small head. Aroma is orange, piney hops and a hint of malt. More of the same on the taste, starts with ornage, before a big hit of resin. Medium bitter finish with a strong after taste of hops. Spot on.
