Note that the Thornbridge Hall series (largely one off and specials circa 2010-15) deliberately carry the Thornbridge name in their title.
Innovation Passion and Knowledge in all we do - and to have some fun along the way. The Thornbridge story began back in 2005 when the founders Jim Harrison and Simon Webster recruited two young brewers to brew on a second hand 10-barrel kit in the grounds of Thornbridge Hall. Soon demand outstripped supply and the need for a new Brewery became clear. In 2009 a brand new state of the art brewery was built at Riverside, Bakewell to meet with demand and allow Thornbridge to develop their range of beers.
Brewing still takes place today on the original kit at Thornbridge Hall, which allows us to experiment with new brews, create bespoke Hall brews, collaborations and assist the main brewery in Bakewell.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some bitterness and cocoa notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate malt notes with some bitterness notes offset by cocoa notes and a finish on the dryer slide of things. Body is full for style with good carbonation with no real discernible alcohol notes. An enjoyable classic IS with a nice balance of the different flavours.

Bottle conditioned. Pours a dark orange colour with a tight white head, plenty of hops and fruit in the aroma, the taste is medium bitterness with a dry bitter finish.
