Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Deep orangey gold colour, no head and aroma of apple, honey, herbal, funk. Taste is sweetish, apple, tart, tangy, woody funk, leather, with bittersweet tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, drying tart & tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Golden colour, short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of pear, woody. Taste is sweet, pear, wood, with biscuity hints and alittle tartness. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium dry finish. Quite OK

1/6/2023. From BIAB at the 36th Colchester Real Ale & Cider Festival. Pours very slightly hazy pale gold with a small short lasting frothy white head. Aroma is woody, pear, citrus, apple, cardboard, slight funky edge. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness, light tartness. Medium body, oily, soft carbonation. Somewhat tart and acidic finish. Not bad.

1/6/2023. From BIAB at the 36th Colchester Real Ale & Cider Festival. Pours slightly hazy golden brown with a small short lasting frothy white head. Aroma is rich apple, leather, funk, caramel, orange liqueur, light herb. Medium sweetness, light tangy tartness. Medium body, oily, low carbonation. Dry and slightly mulled finish. Enjoyed this.

(Cask at Southampton Arms, London, 24 Nov 2022) Golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with apples, citrus and grass. Fruity, tart taste with notes of apples, citrus, a bit of apple peel harshness and a generous acidity in a dry finish. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh and tasty, with a good acidity. Quite nice.

26/1/2023. BIAB at the 14th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Pours clear deep golden amber with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is rich apple, rum truffle, wood, brown sugar, caramel. Moderate sweetness with a mild tangy tartness. Medium body, oily, low carbonation. Very drinkable.
