Bottled. A black beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes roasted malt, chocolate, cinnamon, and smoke. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, cinnamon, smoke, nutmeg, and roasted malt, leading to a tart finish. My first sweet potato beer - interesting thought.

Location: Bottle from Spec's - Downtown shared with jcos and dbarnold, 5/23/14
Aroma: The nose is light, clean malts, some caramel, and some fruit as well
Appearance: It pours a mostly clear orange color with a small head and some mild lace
Flavor: The taste is similar, lightly sweet, clean, malty, and with a mild bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, not hot at all considering the ABV, with a smooth, clean finish
Overall Impression: This is a pretty solid one. It has a nice flavor and a smooth, clean feel. I'm glad to have tried it.

Comes together ok. Finishes with some light bitterness. Pretty good. Smoked malt with roasty chocolate, very nice for smoked beer. Bottle shared at Epic Sour Tasting.

A particularly decent barleywine that appeals to my British predecessors (I don’t know what the hell I was saying at this point in the night). My fingers smell like nail polish remover, but this is good. Some Belgian yeast, and almost more like a Belgian Strong than Barley. Well integrated. Bottle thanks to someone at Epic Sour Tasting.
