Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear pale golden, small head. Sweet and fruity, notes of grapefruit and banana. The mouthfeel is clean and rounded and the finish somewhat soapy. The mouthfeel is too hard to make it quaffable, yet it provides not much flavours to make it a beer to sip on.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear copper colour, small head. Dry and really malty, yet hop dominated. Lychee and pine needles are predominant, and the finish is strikingly bitter.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Nut brown, creamy head. Sweet and roasty with medium body and clean, hard, rounded mouthfeel. Pleasant grapefruity hops leads to a lingering bitter finish.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival. Deep golden, rich head. Grapefruity hop aroma. Drish and fairly light bodied with clean mouthfeel. Despite the wealth of Cascade hops it is still balanced. Straightforward, near simple, but also very enjoyable.

A dry, hop-filled stout that is fairly straightforwward. It is a thoroughly enjoyable sipping beer. Pours dark brown with big tan head that sticks around. Aroma of roasted malts with a hint of chocolate. Flavors lean toward the sweet side — caramel and chocolate — until the hops kick in. Nice bitter aftertaste that is not overpowering.

Bottle. Dark, dark brown with tan head. Aroma is roasted and coffee. Roasted elements dominates the flavour, with coffee and cocoa a little more in the background. Finishes with a not too bitter aftertaste, and of course the roastiness that follows you from the first sniff. Thx to KØLF. (050923)

Bottle. Dark amber with beige head. The aroma is more citrus than expected. More like a Double IPA than a Barley Wine, but I enjoy anyway. Floral and citric taste, with lots of bitterness coming stronger as the beer passes through your mouth. Rating: 8-4-8-4-17-4.1. 050923 Bottle, 2012 vintage. It pours an almost clear amber colored body topped by a dense, fingerthick beige head. The aroma is quite hoppy, with nice maltyness and pinecones. Quite bitter in the flavor, with pinecones and a good malty backdrop. Full-bodied and soft, with some alcohol warmth. Lasting finish with a good bitterness and an equally good sweetness. A rather lovely beer I’d love to have regular access to. Rating: 8-4-8-4-16-4.0 130111
Bottle, 2022 vintage. Love to have this again. It's more hoppy than I remembered, piney and resiny, but that might be due to age. Still love it though, even raised the score by 0.1. Perhaps I should've raised it even more. 231201

12 fl. oz. bottle, bought at Vinens Verden, Odense, Denmark. Copper coloured, good light tan head. Very nice strong aroma of flowery hops, notes of honey and fruits too, hints of oak and caramel. Full and rich mouthfeel. Initially sweet and oaky flavour of dried fruits, then a massive hoppy bitterness takes over and lasts through the aftertaste. Not very well balanced IMO, the very bitter finish kind of kills all other qualities this beer has.

12 fl. oz. bottle, bought at Vinens Verden, Odense, Denmark. Very dark reddish brown colour, nearly black. Greyish brown foamy head. Very nice roasty aroma, notes of chocolate, liquorice, leather and oak. Roasty flavour with notes of strong coffee and dark bitter chocolate. Long bitter aftertaste from the roastiness and hops. Not bad at all.

Draught at Blind Tiger, NY - lighter in flavor than some other rauchs I’ve had, but that made for a much more subtle smoke flavor, which is good for me (a lot of rauchs taste a bit baconesque to me) - not overhopped as I expected from this brewery - quite malty (caramel malt mostly) - actually much better than I was expecting.
