Bottle. A slightly unclear pour, copper color, and a lovely creamy off-white head. The initial aroma has some cooked vegetables, then some butterscotch arrives, before caramel and a touch of forest takes over the show. Sweet flavor with some notes of forest and a little butterscotch and cooked vegetables in the background. Medium body and a short finish. The beer is a bit boring, but nice and strange in a way. The veggies and butterscotch pulls down the score slightly. (080620)

(Bottle (50 cl) from Furseth, thanks!) Shady brown color, tan head. Sweet and hoppy scent with some applesauce, also some honey. Apple and grainy taste. Medium mouthfeel and bitterness.

Bottle. Unclear, golden beer with a white head and some sediments floating. Quite neutral aroma with grain and hay. The flavor is grainy and malty, pale malts that is, with some spicy hops. Medium body. A pleasant and drinkable farm-ale, but it is too boring. Regarding the qualities of the Ølve Øl, this was a bit disappointing. (070608)

Bottled. Hazy brown colour, not much head. Aroma is chocolate, malts and some slight hints of hops. Flavour is sweet fruits with some bloody/metallic hints. Quite different, not good, not bad.

Bottled, thanks Ole_R! Cloudy amber with lots of sediment, minimal head. Caramelly nose with notes of fruit and menthe. Sweet and well rounded Fruity with notes of pineapple and touches of smoke and pine needles. Low bitterness. The juniper twig flavour is not really something I can sense. Original and quite interesting.

Hazy muddy brown color, very small white head. Spicey and sweetish milk chocolate aroma. Spicey and yeasty flavor and "muddy" palate. Milk chocolate also in the flavor. This reminds me kawa from Fiji. Quite original, but not so enjoyable.

500ml bottle. Hazy pale body with an off white head. Vague fruity aroma. Flavor has a mild touch of farmer ale, mild malt, fruity and a bit of hay. Thin Body. Nice refreshing beer, but have to admit I was a bit disappointed, sorry. Thanks to Ole_R.

Bottled, thanks Ole_R! Cloudy dark yellow, brief airy head. Grassy orangey nose. Dry and light, medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Minerally and lightly orangey with lots of piney grassy hops. Light fruity with some saopiness. Lingering resiny bitterness. Interesting beer, sort of like a top fermented zwickelbier.
