Bottle 500ml. @ [ (Easter "Flags of many nations" Tasting) by Chriso - London ].Clear medium yellow colour with a small, frothy - fizzy and open, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, elderflowers, flowers. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a average to long duration, flowers, fruity. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. Bottle shared at the ChrisO Flags of Many Nations Easter Tasting 2013 - London. Pours mostly clear copper with a fine, white froth head. Dry and leathery fruits in the nose, light leaves, dry bready malts. Light to medium sweet flavor with further dry, leathery fruits, toasty bread and leafy hops. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly sticky to finish, some toasty sugars. OK.

Shared with Luttonm who got it from a friend (huge thanks!). Poured a cola body with a gushing huge fizzy head. Nice fresh aroma, coffee and lemon, balanced, pleasant with very, very ligght roastiness. Mild taste, soft malt, more chocolate than coffee, very light carbonation bite, just a light pang of tartness. Very interesting.

Tasting at ChrisO’s. Light haze on this amber beer, little pale tan head. Light crisp palate. Mild minerals. Light but bitter hops - fresh citrus. Bitterish fresh finish. Good hops!

Bottle at Chriso Easter "Flags of many nations" Tasting, 31/03/13 thanks to Chris. Clear blonde with no head. Nose is pale malt, light fart, touch of piss, citrus, grass. Taste comprises pale malt, light citrus, grass, not much doing. Medium bodied, moderate carbonatioyawwwwwwn. Dull.

Bottle at Chriso Easter "Flags of many nations" Tasting, 31/03/13 thanks to Chris. Lightly hazed reddish amber with a thin off white head that retains well. Nose is malt, caramel, sugars, thin dark fruit notes. Taste comprises dark malt, toffee, fruits, bit bland and twiggy. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, fruit in the finish. Pretty mediocre.

Tasting at ChrisO’s. Hazy amber beer, good fluffy off white head. Good marmalade hops - light but bitter. Light dry finish. Not bad.

Tasting at ChrisO’s. Light haze on this gold beer, light dry palate. A little dry citrus - grapefruit, orange and tangerine. Dry finish. Okay - a bit too dry.

[31/3/13, 500ml bottle rebadged for National Trust "A La Ronde Best" that my Dad shared with me - cheers!] A slightly hazy effervescent amber bitter with a large cream head. Good mouthfeel - a bottle conditioned ale that actually achieves the mouthfeel of cask ale. Orange and lots of bread yeast up front, with some herbs. Rather astringent in the finish, with a spicy, earthy bitterness afterwards. I liked it initially but swiftly went off it and struggled to finish it. 7/3/4/4/9. [Re-rate, 1/8/14, cask at the Cherub Inn, Dartmouth rebadged as "Tolchards Devon Coast"> Stupid, stupid cheating fecky rebadges. Though this was a new brewery. Bastards. It’s not even like it was a decent beer that I particularly wanted to re-rate. This time it’s dull amber with a thin white head. Very bland - just a slight floral and citrus hint as if someone wavd a hop pellet vaguely in the brewery once upon a time. That said, there’s no off notes, and the beer has a reasonable enough body and is quite thirst quenching; it’s just completely dull, as if a competent brewer was asked to make a beer on such a low budget that he couldn’t afford enough hops. 5/3/5/3/10
