12oz bottle. Poured a dark black color with a tan head. Aroma was malty, roasted, notes of pumkin and a some spice. Flavor was chocolates, coffee, pumpkin, general roasted malts. Not overly strong in the pumpkin flavor, but good none-the-less.

Very nice IPA, on the mild side, but decent pine aromas an flavors. Shared with two dudes from the Federal Reserve Bank. I just hope they don’t raise interest rates.

On tap at stags head. The season of pumpkin continues. Pours a dark cola with very small head. Get very little pumpkin on the nose. Tastes is of cholcate, slight bitters, and subtle amounts of pumpkin spice. Pretty enjoyable not over powering pumpkin beer.

12-oz bottle Pours a dark cola brown brew with a thin tan head that slowly dissipates to a thin off-white ring. Aroma of chocolate, malt and vanilla. No pumpkin smell at all, mostly chocolate. Taste is medium bodied, with more distinct chocolate and pumpkin flavors with some flowery hops and vanilla. VERY complex. Finish is semi-sweet a light smoked background with mild pumpkin aftertaste with nutmeg. The chocolate pumpkin flavor was a first time experience. I got to say if you have a chance to try this,you should NOT be disappointed.

Bottle. Pours black. Nose of pumpkin, chocolate and malt. Taste of chocolate, coffee, roasted malts and pumpkin. Nice medium bodied pumpkin stout. Definitely more "stout" than most in the genre.

Bottle shared by Sean, thanks! Poured black with a tan head that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma had note of pumpkin and dark grains with an odd stale coffee note as well. Flavor was full of dark grains, a slight pumpkin note and was quite musty.

Bottle at Chriso’ Blue Mountains of Virginia tasting. Some syrup. Not a great double bock. Some syrup and milk choc flavours. Dryness on finish. It’s ok, but not the greatest

22nd May 2010. ChrisOs ’Blue Ridge Mountains Of Virginia’ tasting! Clear amber beer. Semi dry palate. Light chocolate in the sweet malt. Pretty decent sweet malty beer - even a little port in there.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours a clear ruby tinted color with a slight off-white head. Aroma is sweet and darkly fruity. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Flavor is not very sweet, a little grapey, and a fair amount hoppy. Finishes towards astringent and dry, but doesn’t quite get there. Pretty tasteful brew. Oh. There is malt through out, and it is nicely roasted. It just isn’t so dominant as in many doppelbocks.
