6.3/10 β€” Appearance 6 Aroma 7 Flavor 6 Texture 6 Overall 6
Location: 12 oz bottle from Norm's, 8/11/09

Aroma: Yeast, dough, banana, clove, sweet, very much the standard hefe aroma
Appearance: Cloudy yellow-orange color, fluffy white head
Flavor: Similar to the nose, sweet and malty, banana, clove, mild earthy hops, a bit of an odd spice tang to it
Palate: Light body, clean, easy drinking
Overall Impression: This is a decent example of the German Hefe style. Nothing super exciting is going on here, but it's drinkable and nice.

**Just submitted a Photo for this one as well, as it was missing one. (Randomly, this is the 3rd beer I've rated today and the 3rd one that's missing a photo).

Amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of green hops, peach and pine, with a touch of caramel. Sweet hoppy flavour with a very bitter finish giving a slight hop burn. Wonderfully aggressive

Bottle with thanks to coyotehunter. Pours a light brown with a thin head and aromas that are best described as absent. Flavor is English IPA or ESB... A bit of caramel malt and some medicinal hops are about it. A failure as an IPA but not that bad under a different title.

12oz bottle labeled as Bavarian Wheat. Murky brown orange color with a thick off-white head. Fresh clove aroma, sweet malt. Sweet and rich on the palate, but quickly fades into a banana watery finish. Some lemon orange citrus flavors going on as well. A touch darker and maltier than most of the style, and it works quite well. I rated this higher on draft.

This beer came in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a caramel-orange color with a large orange-white head. The aroma was strong fruity and piney hops. The flavor was strong, tangy and fruity with a light nutty undertone and a piney element. The finish was medium length tangy, nutty and fruity. Moderately thick. Well done.

This beer came in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vibrant golden color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma was crisp floral and fruity hops with a faint grassy, tangy and sour undertone. The flavor was tangy, sour and biscuity with light crisp floral and fruity hops. The finish was medium length tangy malts and floral hops. Decent.

Pours a deep coppery amber with a good-sized, persistent, light tan head. Sweet nutty malt aroma. Rich and malty, a touch of hop bitterness at the very end just when you thought there might be none at all. Rich and smooth.Sweet & dangerous, the kind of Doppelbock that they speak of when they say "You can’t judge the strength of a good Doppelbock until you try and get up from the table."

Slightly hazy amber pour that throws up a tall, lasting chunky head of off-white. Floral hop nose. The flavor is mildly sweet with a small amount of bitterness and a touch of dry hops at the back. Nothing bad here, but this could use a few tweaks to make it stellar.

Pours a light brownish color and has an off-white head that leaves a syrupy residue. Smells like caramel and a modicum of booziness. Taste is pretty smooth, with alcohol mostly concealed. Sweet and full of caramel and toffee malts. Lightly hopped but noticeable. Not to bad.
