The Blue Anchor is one of only 4 original brew pubs left in the country still brewing today which continued to brew throughout and has the prestige of being Cornwall's oldest brewery.
Kim & Simon Stone, took over the Blue on July 23rd 1993, at the time there were only 3 Spingo Ales being continuously brewed
During the last 27 years we have produced 4 more permanent Spingo Ales and with our son, Ben Stone, as the head brewer, it is has truly become a family business.
Our business has expanded into Porthleven with the opening of our sister pub, Out of The Blue, of course selling our famous Cornish Spingo Ales, with caravan & camping facilities on the premises it makes for an idyllic setting for traveller's who want to get Spingo'd

Dark brown with a small bubbly off-white / tan head and a mellow roasted malt and dried fruit aroma. Light bodied but rich with molasses, some roasted malt, fruity and old school bitter, finishes very dry with a kick of alcohol.
