17/10/2013 Bir&Fud Bottega (tap). Ambrata carica, abbastanza limpida, schiuma bianco sporca media, discretamente persistente. Al naso agrumato deciso, leggero fruttato, note di malto presenti. In bocca ha una base di malto importante e un amaro che pian piano vien fuori, buon equilibrio nel complesso, davvero niente male. Corpo medio- alto, carbonazione media. Una buona double IPA, non il mio genere di birra, ma senza dubbio ben fatta.

10/10/2013 Bir&Fud Bottega (tap). Giallo paglierino, torbida, bellissima schiuma bianca abbondante e persistente. Al naso note di citronella, pompelmo, coriandolo, davvero notevole! In bocca è delicata, una classica blanche, dissetante e rinfrescante. Corpo leggero, carbonazione soft. Davvero una bella blanche, originale e moderna.

Bottle shared at the Theydon Bois Roma Pre-Nuptuals Tasting at Ma Che. Thanks for this rarity! Pours lightly cloudy brown with a creamy, off-white head. Nose of dried fruits, definitely some wood, mild tang, dark bread. Medium sweet flavor, a little dry, some leathery fruits, wet wood, berries, mellow tanginess. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with dry wood, more leathery fruits and wet wood, restrained earthy bitterness, grapes and berries. Great beer. Wonderfully nuanced.

17/09/2013 La Tana (tap). Dorata, torbida, opalescente, schiuma bianca abbondante, abbastanza persistente. Al naso bel bouquet di aromi luppolati, con spiccate note di arancia e pesca. In bocca è equilibrata, amara ma senza eccessi, abbastanza secca nel finale. Corpo medio-basso, carbonazione media. Una gran bella birra, fresca e dissetante.

Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Many thanks to Colin. Pours hazy gold with a creamy, off-white head. Nose of dry dough and mellow citrus. Light to medium sweet flavor with dried citrus and pine. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. A bit more citrus fruits on the finish. Very tasty.

Bottle split at Craft Clerko Tasting, thanks to a trade with Luca (Mortlach), 08/07/13. Hazed golden amber with a thin off white covering. Nose is orange sherbet, light hops, touch of pine, grass. Taste comprises citrus fruit, sugars, light mineral notes, orange pith, faint tropical fruits. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dryush finish with hop bitterness. Solid enough APA but no world beater.

Craft Clerkenwell tasting. Thanks to Colin? Hazy gold beer, little pale cream coloured head. Light palate, a little dry. Slightly soft. Light hops - pine with mild grapefruit pith. Dry finish. Not bad.

22/06/2013 375ml bottle shared @ Ma che siete venuti a fà. Bruna, densa, impenetrabile, bellissima schiuma color beige molto abbondante e persistente. Aroma molto complesso, sentori di frutta rossa, liquirizia e spezie, legno, vaniglia. In bocca è ancora più complessa, ricorda molto la Sedicigradi ma si lascia bere decisamente meglio per via della gradazione alcolica inferiore. Sentori di frutta rossa, cacao, caramello, liquirizia, note di legno, astringenza, acidula nel finale. Corpo medio-pieno, carbonazione media. Eccellente!

Bottle, Theydon Bois Roma Pre-Nuptuals Tasting at Ma Che, 22/06/13. Big thanks to Luca for this one! Extremely dark mahogony brown with a good sized light tan head. Nose is sour fruits, dates, figs, oaky tones, red wine notes, grapes, light booze. Taste comprises rich fruit flavours, solid hit from the oak, dark fruits, sugars, toffee fudge, light spice, touch of booze but well in check. Full bodied, fine carbonation, dry in the finish. Great beer, one of the best on this visit to Roma, deep, rich, complex and the alcohol was very well integrated. Not sure about the spice/herb/category - more a Belgian strong for me.
