Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 9/2/12
Aroma: The nose is sweet malts, caramel, roasted malts, bread, and light fruity notes
Appearance: This beer pours a clear caramel-orange color with a small white head and no lace
Flavor: The taste is light-medium sweet, with most;y caramel and bread notes, and lightly bitter finish
Palate: The body is light and feels fairly watery, with a dull, tingly mouthfeel, and a dry, metallic finish
Overall Impression: I wasn't at all impressed by this one. Though the beer as a whole wasn't exciting, I found the mouthfeel to be the weakest part.

Split a 22oz bottle three ways. Poured a slightly hazy dark amber color with a medium/small off-white head. Not sure how old the bottle is (no brewed on or best by date) so it may have been a little old. There are certainly notes of hops in here, with a strong malt backing. Sweet caramel malt notes. Alcohol legs on this one, it’s a bit boozy, but just enough bitterness to cut through it.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 8/30/12
Aroma: The nose is fairly light, with notes of sweet malt, caramel, pine hop, and a little citrus
Appearance: It pours an orange color with a fizzy, quick dissipating off-white head and no lace
Flavor: The flavor has an average sweetness and a light-medium bitterness, with a slightly "off" finish
Palate: The body is fairly light, with a lively carbonation, decent drinkability, and a somewhat dry finish
Overall Impression: This one is what it is, a fairly drinkable, unexciting attempt at an IPA. I felt like it was a small sliver above average, so I gave the overall a bump up to 13.

Pours clear copper with weak loose somewhat white head of foam. The aroma has some wheat notes and a sweet malt enhanced floral sensation. The taste is nice and wheat like and almost pulling up a bitter note but that’s filled in with sweetness that tastes a little like maple syrup. This has a nice balance where I get a touch of sweet fruity esters joining the other notes into the finish.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. Off-white head with medium retention recedes leaving scant spiders to skim surface. Ginger and sour caramel aromas. Thick with sweet caramel and toffee upfront turning to mild ginger in the medium length finish.

Deep clear rich brown coloured body with an earthy darkness, some ruby and indigo tints and a nice, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of pungent smoke, peat, alcohol, pit fruits, raisins, cheese and a bit more alcohol and peat. Medium-bodied; Assertive smokey and roasty flavours dominate with some smoked salmon flavours soon afterward and a bit of an earthy mushroom kick at the end. Aftertaste is potent and strong with the alcohol of course showing through with some alcohol, bourbon, rum, pit fruits and some lighter fruits noticeable as well. Overall, a very strong smoked beer and much less of a porter (it really isn’t one at all) - perhaps a bit too deep and dark for me unless I had something that really accompanied it. Still, not a bad beer and fairly well done, but not great by any means. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 22-April-2012 for US$5.55 sampled at home in Washington on 23-July-2012.

Picked this up at the brewery for $5. Poured into a HIll Farmstead glass ( of course)
A - Dark orange with little carbonation
S - Caramel, ginger and vanilla. Floral as well
T - very light malts, sort of bland finish. Floral and honey
M - 20% carbonation light body, bland boring finish
O - It’s alright. not a bad price for a bomber.

22 oz. bottle from the brewery. Amber color in a weizen glass, low carbonation didn’t leave any head or lace. Nose is light maple. Flavor is wheat based, with a maple sugar finish. Body is fairly light. Not overly sweet. Short clean finish.

Gorgeous dark golden brown. Looks like watery maple syrup. Perfect clarity. Grade a maple appearance. Roasted wheat and maple sap. Smells wonderful. I've had this 4 times and this bottle being my last, it's starting to fall off. The maple flavor grows stronger an the wheat is more muted or subdued. Carbonation isn't as bright as desired. 80% carbonation. Light body. Bitter sweet finish.
