Deep dark brown coloured body with a thin, fast-dying tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, anise, licorice, coffee, nuts and a lot of alcohol. Medium-bodied; Strong anise flavour with a lot of roasted malt, coffee, nuts and a touch of soy sauce and permanent marker - no smoked notes at all, just a deep burn and strong licorice flavour. Aftertaste deep and strong with the roasted malt, burnt coffee beans (a la *$) alcohol and anise flavours dominating with a touch of decent camalised sugars on the back end. Overall, a strong and rather underwhelming beer, but it has a lot of flavour - just not great flavours, especially for this style. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 27-November-2011 for US$7.95/6pack, sampled at home in Upstate New York on 25-May-2012.

On tap at Rock art 2 finger crystal clear head. SRM of 4. Light gold and orange appearance. Smell is great hop backbone. Citra and amarillo. Taste is gigantic. Lots of Hops. Dominating the glass entirely. Heavy body. No balance.

On tap at Rock Art brewery. Half a finger of tan head. SRM of 15. Light caramel brown. caramel and Munich malts. Not a lot of smell going on. Overall, pretty weak. Taste - tasty. Very dry and full bodied. Wheat? Nice malt backbone of munich. A mild bit of spices. Not a bad bock. Not the best.

On tap at Rock art. Half a finger clear head. Dissipated quickly. SRM of 10. Deep golden orange. Smell is big citra profile. Smells of some mild dry hop. Citrus and grassy. Taste is big dry hop profile followed by grapefruit and flowers. Mouthfeel is extremely dry. Light body. Not bad.

On Tap at Rock Art brewery. Poured into a tasting glass. Temp is around 40 degrees F. SRM of 9. Almost orange. Bit of cloudiness. Aroma - Oranges, hazelnut, mild bit of Columbus hops, honey. Taste - caramel malts. Bit of smokiness. Mild honey taste. A hint of vanilla. M - medium body. Very dry 80% carbonation. Mmmm decent

22 oz bottle from Julio’s Liquors’. Used a pint. Cloudy gold in color with sizable soapy type head. Nose is lots of fruit esters. Lots of fruit with sweet malt. Ginger is an afterthought and not real noticeable until it got real warm. Maybe I have been hit with the “power of suggestion” Because I taste mango. A decent wheat/ yeast body. Little bit of sugar. Not a traditional Tripple however, I enjoyed this. A good summer quencher. ABV is not detectable at all.

Amber color with a thin head. Aroma has grain, and flavor is very sweet with grain and sugar that makes me think of the actual wort. It is OK.

Pours deep mahogany into a Sam glass. Oh no the head crackles worse than a coke and recedes to nothing. Smoked gouda aromas. Sharp with smoked gouda front to back and into the lasting sour and bitter finish. I like the gouda...but not the appearance, palate or finish.

A - half finger tab head. Big and small bubbles. Dark brown. S - Nice hops. Roasted malts and pine T - roasty and nutty. Peanuts and smokiness. Nice hop profiles and solid vanilla taste. M - 50/50 carbonation. Heavy body and lingering Hops O - it's a bit too sweet but a very solid beer. B+

A - Almost no head. Zero lacing on the glass. Light brown. S - Smells like a standard English porter. Smoked malts and heavy Irish cheese. Birch wood. T - Very smoky. Intensely smoked and zero hops at all. Burnt BBQ chicken. M - 40/60 carbonation. Oily, heavy body. O - Intense smoke. Too much. Little much else to this beer.
