This one is made by the new brewer jan Wolfs. Milky buttery toffeearoma and flavor. Bitter, chicory. Espresso coffee. Chocolate. Unusual flavors for an abbey dubbel. Lacks perfection.

2004 version, from the new brewer Jan Wolfs. Malty aroma and flavor with some licorice and butterscotch. Pear. Rather thin, and therefore the alcohol is clearly present. There’s still much room for improvement.

White bottle. Aroma has butter, mandarin, flour and cake dough. Sulphury, buttery flavor. Grainy and skunky. Plastic. Rather rancid beer, probably the wrong yeast culture is used.

Bottle. Cacao and cinnamon aroma and flavor with a bit of roasted malt. Just a bit of apple. Thinnish and a bit alcoholic. Long finish with laurel.

Cake aroma. Sweetish, slightly herbal flavor with touches of lemon cake and yeast. Thinnish, but fairly dry.

Orange brown color. No specific aroma, some glue maybe. Malty sweet flavor with citrus and a touch of soap. Soft bitter aftertaste. Thinnish and sugary.

Bottle. Golden color. Flowery, buttery aroma. Flowery, hoppy, buttery citric flavor. Diacetyl! Sharp citric, buttery aftertaste with bitter walnuts. Alcoholic. Disappointing!

Bottle from Plusmarkt Denekamp. Blonde with a touch of orange, hazy. Flowery citric aroma and flavor. Some tangerine. Thinnish, but pleasant easy drinker. Better than the former Leckere Blond.

Green bottle. Pale blonde. Soft grassy aroma. Grassy hopbitter flavor. Medium bodied. Bitterness lingering on in the longish aftertaste. Not bad.
