Nice floral, citrucy and slightly piney aroma. Earthy hops and earthy malt in the flavor. Fruity hoppy finish with a light bitterness.

Ok, I thought this was the same as the confederation ale so i didnt even look on here and check to see it if had it own rating.
That also lends itself to the fact that it wasnt much different from the confederation ale. its was a pretty run of the mill ale. Some bready malts, and faint hops. a pretty bland beer. Doesn’t really have much going on.

basic lager, nothing special for my palate, but I can see how this might appeal and convert some macro drinkers.

Bottle at home. Aroma is resinous hops, biscuity malt, pine, slightly sweetish fruits, tropical notes, touch of caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. Not a fruity hop bomb, has more of a resinous and biscuity malty profile, but there’s room for some (tropical) fruits as well. Not bad at all, smooth drinkability.

Bottle at home. Aroma is crisp fruity hops, tropical fruits, grapefruit, citrus, light biscuity malt. Flavour is moderate to medium bitter. Body is light. Thinnish but quite crisp and refreshing with plenty of aromatic fruity hops, goes down well.

Bottle at home. Aroma is bready malt, caramel, soft earthy hops, mild fruits, toffee, tea, with a hint of pine. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Body is medium. A bit on the malty side for my taste, but certainly enjoyable.

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Incredible aroma of massively rich chocolate, roasted malt, cocoa, chocolate cake, brownies, chocolate milk, mild vanilla, tons of chocolate. Flavour is sweet with a moderate roasty dark chocolate bitter finish. Body is medium to full. Incredibly balanced and smooth, you wouldn’t guess this is a 10% abv brew, it drinks so easily. This is the most chocolate-heavy beer I’ve had so far, and I’ve had some beauties in that area. Epic chocolate brew! *** re-rate 2021: Still a lovely chocolate Stout, though I am not floored as I was back in the day.
