Bottle 33cl. from Gastro Beer, @home poured into a tulip glass. Deep dark brown colour, tall creamy beige to tan head, good retention, good retention, heavy lacing. Aroma roasted malts, coffee, cocoa powder, dried dark fruits, caramel, light liquorice, light yeast. Smooth taste above medium sweet and light bitter, malty, coffee, dark chocolate, dark fruits, sweet cherries, plum, light yeast, alcohol notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, velvet mouthfeel, round sweetbitter aftertaste, fruity notes, alcohol well-hidden, tasty, easy to drink, well-balanced, very good.

Old rating found back, unsure when drank but it should have been fairly close to the release. Pours black, tanned head. Scent is roasty, sweet, caramel, malty. Bit too simple and sweet perhaps? Taste is full, roasty, sweet, caramel. Bit bitter in the finish. Creamy, almost lactose-like. Nice as a base stout for a pastry, but on it's own perhaps a tad too simple.

Pours an intense black, with a robust, big to hige mocha head, fading fairly fast. Scent is raw, rough coffee. Don't really get the chocolate yet, barrel is providing some rough old wood, but not much whiskey. Taste is medium to medium high intensity. Very high (too high) carbonation. Very yeasty, some yeaststress it seems. Milder coffee than expected. All the 'extra's' are quite hidden, to be honest. Medium bitterness. Not as creamy as I'd prefer, probably due to to low PH water in the recipe? the beer isn't sour, but higher PH would provide more creamyness. The beer on it's own is quite enjoyable, still. Just not what I had hoped for.

Small light tan head over fully muddy orangeish brown beer. Rather aromatic nose, with citrus, almonds, breakfast cereals, stale bread. Citrus, citruspeel, oats (probably the rye, really), hints of roggeverdommeke , hardboiled eggyolk (without the H²S). Bitter orangepeel finish. Feels quite well-bodied, more than the 6.8% would warrant. Very slick, "pap"-like feel. Not half bad, our Joyce! Thanks to Stef!

Good, light yellowish head over veiled darker golden beer, some lace. Pilsner malt, bit greenmalt, spicy hops & malts, horseradish powder. Dry bitterish flavour, initially indeed like bitterish powdery spices, then a hint of sweet pale malts, but with a cut-off, drier finish. Good noble hops, just missing a tad lupulin bite. Slick, grist-filled, creamy feel, good carbonation. Good lager, not fireworks. Thanks to Stef!

Small tan head over virtually black beer. Cigarette ash, coffee, bit phenolic, dry-resiny. Ureum whiff warming up. Mineral impression, cacao, rubbery. Very strange nose, making me think of rubber clothing or even more precisely air matrasses. Roast in a very dry way, straw, retronasal again ashes. Good carbonation, quite slick, viscous and quite well-bodied. Quite OK, certainly way better than the 2020 version. Thanks to Stef!

No head, pale yellow-golden beer. Aromatic nose, bit perfumey, spicy, pineapple. Solvent, glue, pineapple, maybe some traces of wheat in the flavour, but without the typical wheat acidity. Alcoholwarming, yet quite well-bodied, quite slick but rather undercarbonated. Bit so-and-so, the pineapple doesn't seem to work well, making it uncomplex, whilst the mango is inconspicuous. Huge cream-tan head over black beer with purplish highlights. Dry hopbales, bit dark candi sugar, ashy and of course citrussy hops. Dry-ish, seriously roasted caramel, roast, almost as if in Maillard. Hops, but almost no hoppy bitterness. The MF betrays the oats, as the nose betrays the candi sugar. OK, but I've had better BIPA's. The oats form a good addition. Thanks to Stef!

Small, fast gone white head over - indeed - peach-coloured beer. Herbal/spicy nose, as rosemary or lavender, and faraway fruity, serious hints @ coriander. Faintly smoked first impression, mineral, saline; fruit again very masked, but present. Coriander OTOH very obvious. Sour peach in the finish. Light, bit oily feel, not empty; good carbonation. Honestly, not my taste, the coriander being too obvious for its own good. Thanks to Stef!
