33cl bottle from Tourist info office in Antwerpen-Centraal. F: big, egg-white, good retention. C: deep gold, hazy. A: grapefruits, floral, bit pine, pineapple, banana, bit bready, spicy. T: medium malty base, grapefruits, banana, pineapple, tangerine, floral, yellow plums, medium carbonation, nice balanced long lasting harmonic bitterness, very nice for the style, enjoyed for sure.

Huge, towering, dense, whipped eggwhite-like head over veiled golden beer. Passionfruit indeed, very obvious, aromatic. Not much else. Light fruity flavour, again passion. What is (at least a bit) missing, is the sourness. Just a bit undefined fruity acidity, not-quite-ripe passionfruit or other, maybe some rhubarb. Chalk in the aftertaste. Light body, very well-carbonated. Not bad, but it misses punch. Txs to Stef!

Head gone in seconds; big- lazy bubbled clear orange-golden beer. Fruity, but also smells of putty, solvent, acetone, nail polish. Solvent returning with sourish fruit, papaya, pineapple. Still beer, almost uncarbonated. Artificial, chemical flavours. How! Something went wrong here, Nele used way too much nailpolish. Txs to Stef!

Pours fairly clear, darkbrown. No real head. Scent is full, raisins, dark fruits, typical quad. Not much BA influences, some red fruits. Taste is full, red fruits (mild acidity, but not sour). Mild BA profile. Chewy, bit tannic, very chimay bleu inspired to me. Decent.

Almost gushing to huge, fluffy, lightly yellowish head over fully hazy yellow beer with shards of lace. Citrus, citruspeel, citrussweets, other exotic fruit, moss, dried herbs, cypress- and other coniferous resins. All the above, with a velvet/full carpet extra flavour. Quite well balanced for an over-hoppy beer, and no excess sweetness! Long-lasting citruspeel, bit mouldy. Quite hopoil-slick, almost overcarbonated, at least medium bodied. Good one, guys! Txs to Stef !

Pours slightly unclear, warm amberorange. Small white head. prominent scent with tea shining trough, which goes surprisingly well with the dried-fruit aspect of the Barleywine base. Even some fruityness, fresh florality in a way. luxureous scent ! Taste is full, bit sweet - some simple sugars, but the tea makes it so much more complex. Strange bitterness, and a floral/fruity/herbal ending I partially love, but other parts of it i really dislike. A very confusing beer - much more interesting and enjoyable than I thought i'd think about it - disliking all I ever knew that was tea - the tea actually does a good thing here. I love the florality, but the herbal side makes me go to places in my mind I don't particularly love in my beer (pot pourri-side) Still, more than fair attempt of these guys and girl ! might be one of the most - if not the most - surprising beers by them for me. Could use a bit ( or more) body though.

Medium, rather stable pinkish tan head over fully hazy brown beer. Wood, liquorice, sparadrap, leftover chocolate. Dark chocolate, cacaopowder, wood, dry herbs (thyme?). Very dry finish. Good body, alcoholwarming and -thinning, good carbonation. Nowhere vinous?? Decent but nothing to rave about, really. Txs to Stef!

Small greige head, slowly clearing over opaque brown beer. Grapes, rum, whisky, dark fruit, old wood, lactic acid, faint ketone. Bitter-ish, dark fruit, whisky, bitter chocolate, faint roast, lactic acid. Apart from the dark fruit (plums, preserved cherry...), there are some hints of Charentais melon. Serious alcoholwarmth and -thinning. Quite slick and well bodied but not thick. Good carbonation, long lasting flavours (whisky prominent retronasal into the aftertaste). Excellent! Definitely one of Cabardouches' best. Txs to Stef!

Helder goudgeel bier met schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet met iets van mango, passievrucht en grapfruit en een houtachtige afdronk.
