Gushing to huge, dense, whipped eggwhite-like foam over orangey yellow, veiled beer. Fresh nose with wildflowers, lime, elderflower, raw corn and hints of Brettanomyces. Citrus, with a bitterish finish as citruspeel. Garden herbs and again elderflower. Retronasal, the Brettanomyces is even more evident. Finish has some light acidity. Velvety texture from the head, bit slick, yet refreshing and very (over...)carbonated... Pity about the gushing, because the rest is quite OK! Txs to Stef!

Small, disappearing white-transparant head over copperish orange beer, coldhazed. Spicy, watercress, insectoid, rainwater, bit peppery and a whiff of sulphur. Peppery, spicy malts, with a hint of human sweat. Again aquatic vegetables or greenery. Bit of caramel, restsugars. Light body, good carbonation, slick. Not very original, ta blonde, non? Huge, dense & fine, just yellowish head, persistent over cold hazed darker yellow golden beer, lively carbonated. Herbal, pale malts, garden weeds as sweet woodruff, bit grassy, almonds, fresh leaves. Huge head seriously hampers nasal perception. Sweet, caramel, white bread and toast, herbal finish. Alcohol obvious, white candi sugar, sweetened oatmeal (giving a very creamy texture in combination with the indestructible head). Palate indeed features dry wood. Very carbonated, slick to viscous, mild alcoholheat, at least medium bodied. Quite OK, and vastly superior to the first beer ordered by the tourist office (from ABC), where this beer can be purchased. For the interested: Het Steen, is the castle-like building on the riverbank near the old city centre. It harbours the tourist info, and features as the Antwerpener castle, though it has never been a real castle. Originally, it was the gatehouse to the very first walled town (today almost completely overasphalted), and it has been rebuild and restyled uncountable times, every time with less taste. O tempora, o mores.

Medium, fluffy white head over veiled greenish yellow beer. Intense hoppy nose, immediately upon opening. Lupulin, lunaria, muscat grapes, oranges, orangejuice. Bitterish, and again citrus but in the mouth grapefruit- rather than orangejuice. Bit of kumquat, bittering herbs, pine resin. Quite well-carbonated, light to medium bodied, long lasting flavours. Not bad! Interesting hops. Txs to Stef!

Good, stable white head over finely carbonated golden beer with a light hazy and lots of sticky lace. Explosive lavender aroma upon opening, lavender³. Something out of a brothel... This is insane, tastes (?) as something you pour in your bath. Faint malt sugars, but the lavender just overwhelms everything. Good carbonation, very slick, and it even feels soapy!! Huge, dense, stable, slowly pitting-in yellowish head over hazy amberish orange beer. Nice dry hoppy aroma's, bit leafy, but also male perfumey odours. Faint caramel and vegetable frying oil. Dry-bitterish, with some strange, but pretty nice flavours as from carrots, roots, leaves, caramel. The very present CO² makes it invigorating. Dry hops, black cardamom, earthy. Dry throughout, very good carbonation, slick. Nice. We've decided for another decennium of Zattemansklap. Connor? Txs to Stef!

330 ml bottle. Pours black with little head. Aromas of peat, wood, whiskey, chocolate and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same with additional black coffee and lactose. Whiskey definitely gets more prominent as the beer warms though doesn’t overload. Good stuff.

Pours jet black, no foam. Scent is rough and raw, burnt malts, oak, bit of whiskey but not too boozy at all. Pretty sharp impressions, not as silky or smooth as hoped. to the dry side, especially on todays market - with an oilyness of burnt malts to it. Sharp and a tad ashy, whisky doesn't sit well zith the beer, remains on top without blending in nicely. Not too boozy at all, that is a smooth aspect for sure in this one, but the basebeer seems way to underwhelming for a BA project. Going towards acidic, not by infection, but by the PH drop from the roasted malts. OK. Drinkable and no major errors here, just lacks a bit of balance, and goes in a direction I don't personally enjoy that much.

Small white rim over almost clear, finely carbonated golden beer. Smelly feet - and dried apples. Still... Apple liqueur, very sweet cider; Cheap vin doux. Slick to oily, faint alcoholwarmth. Guys, seriously? This applejuice, was it fermented or just added? This is an absolute dip in the Escort series. Txs to Stef!
