High Wycombe House Warming. Thanks to Paul. Bright clear pale gold beer, thin white head. Palate is light, dry and fairly crisp. Very light malts, some lager character. Mild floral hop, whisper of citrus. Light semi dry finish. It’s not that bad.

Skinny 330ml can from Checkers. It pours clear pale yellow with a thick white head. The aroma doesn’t have a whole lot going down... sweet pale malt, bready, straw and a touch of popcorn maybe. The taste is crisp, quite light, grassy, straw, some pale malty base, creamy, light paper character, soda water and metallic notes with a dry finish. Light body and high foamy carbonation. Really doesn’t taste of very much, but isn’t offensive. I actually prefer this to the regular version.

generous gift of a colleague and friend - many thanks! clear pale yellow colour, minimal white head; aroma of grains, cardboard, some grass and hay, maybe metallic notes, too; taste of bread, some herbal and hay notes, cardboard again and metallic sourish-bitterness; not that good lager...but, anyway, man, IT IS FROM NAMIBIA! :-)

Can and bottle in Windhoek. It pours clear yellow with a thick white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, sweet lemon, touch of lemonade, white bread, grain and straw. The taste is crisp, rather mellow, sweet lemon/lemonade, straw, pale malts, grass and some grain with a dry finish. Light + body and high, foamy carbonation. This is actually pretty nice for a pale lager. Drinking this chilled makes sense in Namibia. Significantly better than tafel imo.

Bottle at a random bar in Windhoek. It pours golden piss with a white head. The aroma is mostly malty, buttery, bread, caramel and some corn. The taste is initially crisp, watery, malty, soda water, slightly buttery, butterscotch, caramel and corn. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A very basic lager by all accords. Piss poor.

Bottle from Checkers Liquor Store, Windhoek. It pours clear deep yellow - gold with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, creamy, cereal, grainy, white bread and some dark grass. The taste is dry, mellow, grassy bitterness, cereal, straw, toasty grain and light spice with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Not bad for a lagerbier. Decent balance and drinkability.

Thought I would treat myself for my 13k.... Bottle from Checkers Liquor Store in Windhoek. It pours clear yellow with a thick foamy white head. The aroma is sweet, cheap lemonade, candy, paper and quite a bit of graininess. The taste is mostly of sweet lemonade upfront, cream soda, icing sugar, grainy action and paper with a dry, sweetish finish. Light body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Pretty shitty overall.

Bottle at The High WyCum tasting, Chez Bois, thanks to Paulo 05/11/16. Light golden blonde with a decent off white covering. Nose is pale malts, raw biscuit crumble, light grains, caramel. Taste comprises sweet malts, grains, straw, caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent for style.

Bottle shared in High Wycombe - thanks to Scopey. Pours clear, pale yellow with a creamy, white head. Light paper in the nose, some cereal, dry hay. A little sugary, with simple cereal, hints of paper, white bread. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet, sugary finish, more white bread, cereal and paper. So so.
