***had it as tripe a 3 chêne*** ropical fruit, mild berries and mild hints of vanilla. The back end is where the oak lives and makes a nice medley with the fruit. Peaches

Deep chunky copper and amber coloured body with a thick, soapy, antiquey tan colour - looks like a lot of Quebecois-based IPAs. Aroma of bright cascade hops, caramel, toffee, nuts, earth and a bit english-y. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a nice bright hop bite, some earthy malt behind with a little bit of grapefruit on the tail end. Aftertaste shows a lot of character and complexity with the nuts, earth, metal and bright hops all making a statement. Overall, a very nice IPA - perhaps one of the best I’ve had from the whole of Canada! I sampled this 341 mL bottle purchased from Marche Des Sauvers in Montreal, Quebec, Canada for CA$3.79 on 27-June-2011 sampled at home in Washington on 01-December-2011.

Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy amber/orangey color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of sweet malt is more intense that I recalled the regular version to be. Taste is sweeter then expected with light peppery yeast and not too much oak presence. Body is quite full with medium carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Interesting beer though a little bit too sweet for my taste and lacking some fruity ester.

A golden amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, a smooth light malt with loads of Brett and rosemary notes. In mouth, a rosemary stands out in beginning, with biscuitty malt, smooth Brett, lightly oily mouthfeel, very nice. On tap at Mondial 2011, June 9 2011.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of earthy hops with clear dry bitter notes. Taste is also a nice mix between some earthy hops with nice dry caramel malt base. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well brewed though hardly standing out from the pack.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color pilsner with a nice pure white foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of lightly sweet cereal notes with light green floral aroma. Taste is a very nice and refreshing mix between some light floral hoppy notes with a nice clean cereal malt base with very subtle residual sugar notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Very well brewed and a lot more complex then I had anticipated.

Bottle: Poured a clear light brown color ale with a large foamy head with light retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry malt notes with unrefined grain notes. Taste is also dominated by very dry caramel malt with unrefined grain notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. A bit too dry and astringent for my taste with very light nutty touch.

Bottle: Poured a lightly red color ale with a medium bubbly head with good retention with not much lacing. Aroma of sour cherry with light wheat malt with some medicinal cough syrup notes. Taste is also a weird mix between some sour cherries with cough syrup and light wheat malt. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Not the best from this brewery though interesting experiment on paper.
