A hazed murky reddish brown ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with dark fruits, grassy hops, light licorice, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with loads cherry, light lactic notes, light raspberry jam, very nice. On tap at brewery.

(473ml can from Metro Cartier, Quebec City) Pours black with a small head of whitish bubbles and light lace. Aroma is earthy coffee, dusty semi-sweet chocolate, partly acidic roasted malt, a little green pepper, some fruitiness too, touch of caramelized sugar. Flavour is quite dry, lean roasty malt with moderate acidity to it, touch of residual sugar only, earthy coffee, a little green pepper, some bitter unsweetened chocolate, a bit creamy/milky. Finish is dry and earthy, coffee, bitter chocolate, lightly resinous coniferous hops, roast with a little point of acidity. Light-bodied, thin, above average carbonation. Cooked with it and drank the rest, fine for that but I would not seek it out.
