Thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Looks really good in the glass. Roasty malty aroma. Starts strong, malty, roasty, not too intense. Some woody-earthy notes. Finish milder, less roasty, soft-malty. Mild sweetness. Nice!

Thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Looks good in the glass, deep golden, nice head. Malty-spicy aroma. Starts strong, malty, spicy, light alcoholic notes. Woody hints. Finish with a sweetish-fruity touch. Not bad.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Andover Liquors. Appearance is hazy, dark orange/red/brown with nice sparkle, 1/2-finger width creamy, beige head with poor retention and decent soapy lacing. Aroma is caramel, brown sugar, pumpernickel bread. Taste is sweet as aroma with late fruit and light earth. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste with lightly dry, bitter component at the very end. Overall, nice malty flavors (so many IPA's lately, I'd kind of forgotten what these taste like). Not too complex, but strong flavors and some balance present.

On tap at The Malted Barley, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out light toasted malt and a touch of coffee. Flavour is somewhat fruity, with red fruits, subdued coffee and some toasted malt. The coffee is a little deficient, but it works alright. Decent.

On tap at The Malted Barley, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out medium roasted malt, with someone harsh hops and light red fruits. Flavour is bold, with deep roasted malt, dark dried fuzzy fruits, and intense hops to balance. Nicely calibrated - it's more on the brutal side, but it works very nicely.
