Bottled. Dark, dark brown with large, light brown head. Dark, roasted malt, chocolate and coffe in the nose. Aromahops too. Dry elements of chocolate, coffee, and malt, with fruity hops in flavor. Long, bitterdry finish. Haandbryggeriets version of a Christmas beer seems to be a fusion of doppelbock and a stout, but I like it. (051108)

Golden and clear - before pouring the sediments. The last sediments came in lumps! Not delicate. Bottle. (#1). Clear golden with large, white head. Extremely agressive carbonation. It should be more cloudy, but is seems like the carbonation pushes all haziness to the top. The head deminishes rather quickly. Aroma is definately weissbier. Too much metallic smell, though. Taste is nice, wheat, banana, citrus in the beginning, slowly fading into a more pronounced citric and spicey finish. A little thin, but very fizzy mouthfeel. Shall not complain though, it is the only Norwegian weissbier brewed at the moment, as Nøgne Ø has paused brewing it until the new brewery is running. (051006)

Bottled, (#4) Pours a hazy, golden colour, with a large, small-bubbled, beige head. Aroma is mostly fruity with malt. Quite mild taste for an IPA. Citric/orange tastes dominates at start. Hop-bitterness comes stronger at the end, but not as biting as I shold wish for. More an english IPA than the american type i for some reason expected. (051006)

Big, tan, coarse-laced head which quickly subsides. Body is dark brown-red, nearly opaque. Carbonation keeps going on. If you pour in the yeast sediment you can enjoy watching yeast balls sinking, then getting caught by bubble streamers and being carried up, then being dropped at the top and starting over. (Or not, if you find yeast unappetizing. :) Aroma is yeasty, sweet, peppery, with lots of roastiness. Taste is huge, roasty, and sweet, with an aftertaste of coffee. Very good! This is a great dunkelweizen, though the weizenness of it is not exactly obvious. It’s more like a cross with a stout, really. (0.5l bottle.)

Hardly any head; what’s there appears to be finely laced. Aroma is quite faint when cold, but has a mix of malts and citrusy hops. Taste is quite big, yet very clean and smooth (extremely harmonic). Again malts and citrusy hops with some metal notes. Metal notes grow stronger when warm. Finish is bitter, but not very. Very nice! A light, highly drinkable, and still interesting IPA. A nice complement to the stronger ones from Nøgne Ø. (This is also the only IPA approved by my girlfriend, which says something about the drinkability.)

Bottled at RBESG. Near black. Sweet and roasty. Salty and tarry with notes of licorice and coffee. Surprisingly light bodied with clean mouthfeel and striking bitterness.

Bottled at RBESG.Muddy yellow. Aroma of almonds and viola. Sweet with rounded mouthfeel, notes of honey and grass. Evident Belgian yeast character.

Bottled at RBESG. Very muddy pale brown. Banana aroma. Sweet and roasty with some caramel. Dryish lightly salty finish. Pleasant, unusally refreshing dunkelweizen.

Original review text: Bottled at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. Cloudy mustard yellow. Spicy nose with a mere touch of banana. Sweet with clean, somewhat spritzy mouthfeel. Light-medium bodied, a slight bit sharp with restrained wheat flavours. No bitterness. beers with this clean mouthfeel does not work overly well as refreshers.
