On September 1998, Dieu Du Ciel! finally opens its doors, with more than 300 people in attendance. Today, Dieu Du Ciel! is engaged more than ever in the local community as the demand for its products continues to rise both at home and abroad.
In 2015, the microbrewery in St-Jerome increased capacity from 9000 to 13000 hectoliters annually, in an effort to better satisfy a growing band of faithful converts.

Cloudy golden. Big phenols are plasticy but somehow good. Pear, alcohol, white pepper, complex fruits and peach. Good body, nice subtle hoppiness. Stylish, interesting brew.

Black colour with dark brown head. Rich coffeeish, chocolatey aroma. Nothing unusual here, but done very nicely. Creamy body..luscious...with lots of chocolate and espresso this is a very decadent take on the style, without any stinging roast or rich fruit. Beautiful. A rare beer that seems to actually work well with nitrogen.

Bright amber colour. A little woodsy, with hints of crystal malt and a fair bit of alcohol. Strangely watery body...highly irregular for the style. Flavour has light notes of woody hop and a fair amount of toasty malt. Quite a bit of late alcohol heat. Underwhelming to say the least.

Hazy amber colour. Hot and malty aroma with light maple syrup and dusty yeastiness. Hot, dusty palate with thick, vaguely defined malts. Too hot and simplistic.

RBSG bottle #48 Average sized frothy tan head. Dark amber colored body. Sweet dried fruit aroma. Flavor follows the aroma with some alcohol added.

RBSG bottle #49 2005 Large tan head that quickly fell into a brown body full of ruby at the edges. Malty maple aroma, very sweet. Sweet and full bodied with a creamy almost syrupy mouthfeel. Some alcohol. Tasty sipper.

RBSG on tap at DDC Large creamy white head that floats on a sparkling clear deep gold body. Light malt in the aroma and a bit of piney hops. The flavor is mostly sweet from start to finish. Not too shabby if a brewer’s worst beer is a 3.4 don’t you think??

RBSG on tap Listed as an English style IPA. Large, quickly diminishing head on a clear medium amber brew. The malt and hop aroma is balanced but a bit reserved, even for an English style IPA. Good balanced flavor light to medium body with a dry finish.

RBSG Cask Average size head on a clear medium amber body. Good aroma of malt and hops. As it passes over your tongue, you first get a milt malt sweetness and then a perfectly balanced hop bitterness follows. Nice dry overall palate. Well done ESB.

RBSG Nitro pour at brewpub This one starts with a down cascading nitro head of creamy tan that finally settles into a black body below. A coffee less Peche Mortel here. Roast malt and chocolate in the nose are followed by a somewhat bitter flavor profile ending with a dry palate. Just enough sweetness in this one.
