Brewery since 1556, family-owned since 1846. In addition to numerous year-round beers also several seasonal varieties are offered. Ranging from Pils, Weizen and Kellerbier to Märzen and Schwarzbier to Rauchbier and Rauchbier-Doppelbock. The brewery has its own restaurant with beer garden and a beergarden, which is located around 300 m from the company headquarters.

Bottle. Hazy brown color with white head. Aroma is cloves, chocolate, earthy. Taste is the same, decent sweetness, not too chalky. Silky mouthfeel, minerals, soft carbonation. Solid!

Cask at HopDog anniversary with the Munich crew! Thx Gregor! Hazy golden body, thick white head. Lightly flowery, bit herbal and somewhat minty aroma. Grainy taste, flowery, somewhat minerally, there are some herbal notes, but there is a very light touch of apples as well. A bit dry. Nice, imperfect, but that might be a part of the charm for these.

Van het vat bij Hummel, stop #3. Goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Ruikt heerlijk grassig en licht bloemig, wat bisongras, verbena, smaak is helaas een stuk dunner, licht, iets granig, licht moutig, degelijk bitter, mineralen. Lichte body.

Flaska från Bierothek. Klar gyllengul vätska med lågt vitt skum. Doft av säd, bröd och honung. Ganska söt, blommig honung, söta aprikoser, hö, örter och en markerad gräsig beska. Kanske väl söt annars gott

500ml bottle from the Wine Seller, Crompton: out of date when brought and drank in the afternoon sunshine in my back garden on 24th May 2023. Very slight haze to the golden body, white head. Leaning towards malty sweet, but with some hop action for bitterness towards the finish. Decent enough Kellerbier.

Bottle @ Getränkemarkt, Memmelsdorf. Pours clear Golden yellow with a White head. Fresh straw and grains. Yeast with a farmhouse touch noticeable trademark Hummel. White baguette. Quite bitter finish. Excellent! BB 14/07-23
