Growler courtesy of markwise, thanks! It pours deep darkness with wafer thin off white head. The aroma is oak, vanilla, some chocolate brownie and a touch of roasty to burnt malts. The taste is thick tasty chocolate fudge like brownie to go along with vanilla, a modest level of oak and bourbon. It ends toward more vanilla along with lingering bourbon and chocolate. Very tasty stuff.

Growler courtesy of markwise, thanks! It pours amber murkiness creating an average level of opacity with copper edges and thin tan head. The aroma has a pretty good load of oak and lighter notes of vanilla and bourbon. I don’t smell much in the way of beer in there. The taste is chewy goodness with notes of malts and a touch of roast before oak, a thin layer of vanilla, slick bourbony booze and more malts take this thing to the finish. To me it tastes and smells like it could have used a little less barrel time so the base beer isn’t swamped out.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a orange-red color with a medium fizzy white head that burns away steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of raspberries and malt. Medium body with flavors of tart raspberries, sweet spices and malt. Touches of alcohol as well. The finish is fruity with a mildly hopped aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the brewpub. This Porter is a dark brown color that lets some light through. Medium light beige head that diminishes quickly. Aroma of mild chocolate and roasted malt. Medium body with flavors of milk chocolate, roasted malt and a touch of hops. The flavors are short-lived though. The finish is chocolate up front with a short coffee aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a hazed golden-orange color with a medium white head that recedes steadily. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with a moderately hoppy flavor with piney and citrusy characteristics. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitterness left behind. Definitely reminiscent of other West Coast IPAs (really reminded me of Green Flash), and a pretty good beer overall.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a dark brown color with a medium beige head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma is vinous with a somewhat woody character. Medium body with flavors of vanilla, oak and dry white wine. The finish is tart grapes with a bit of malt left over. I would have lost money guessing which beer was the foundation of this one. Decent overall, but not something I would get again.

On draught at the brewpub, served in a snifter. The beer pours black with a medium thick brown head that diminishes to an outer ring eventually. Thick rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, and bourbon. Rich body with flavors of chocolate, bourbon-soaked wood, dark fruit and a bit of coffee. The finish is roasty with a bittersweet chocolate and booze finish. Very enjoyable overall.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a crystal clear golden color with a thin white head that recedes quickly. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of oak, yeast and orange peel. Medium body with flavors of biscuity malt, yeast, citrus and oak throughout. The finish is yeast and spices with a malty and oaky finish. Very good overall.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a brownish-black color with a thin khaki head that dissipates quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Vinous aroma with touches of tart fruits and herbs. Rich and smooth body with flavors of dry wine, malt and mildly sour fruit. The finish is dry with the Cabernet flavor lingering past the vanilla and fruit. Interesting overall, bit not something I would go back to repeatedly.

Full body with flavors of bourbon and oak, malt, caramel and a touch of hops. The finish is bourbon and fruit with a lingering boozy aftertaste. Pretty solid overall.
