Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a flat black color with a medium brown head that recedes slowly. Thick rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of roasted malt, berries and a hint of vanilla coffee. Rich body with flavors of roasted coffee, caramel malt and dark fruits. Alcohol is well-masked but it is there. The finish is dry and roasty with a coffee and hops aftertaste that lingers awhile. Good from start to finish.

Assuming this is the "Wee Heavy," this beer was poured straight from a growler brought from the pub by a friend of mine. It pours a slightly light brown color, with a off-white tan colored head. Aroma is slightly smoky with a burbon (if I’m getting it right). The flavor was nice, bold, and powerful. Very enjoyable.
