Sample at the Eurostash II tasting on 12/12/09: Thanks to JaBier for sharing bottle #35/156. The beer pours a clear amber-orange color with a medium thin and fluffy off-white head that diminishes slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Grapefruit and hops aroma. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops character and flavors of citrus, pine and caramel malt. The finish is piney with a lingering hops aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

courtesy of Markwise. notes of barrel though not overdone but keeping enough character to add a nice warming mouthfeel. Vanilla, chocolate malts, light bitter finish that is quickly followed by barrel goodness.

courtesy of Markwise pours reddish, no head. aroma and flavor, loads of cherries / mild cherry tartness. Barrel on this one was rather enjoyable, not overdone, lingering chocolate malts, and dark fruits; currants. courtesy of Markwise. pour golden, white head. aroma / flavor, nice combo between the oak aged wood, and fruit tartness of orange, end with mild bitterness. Orange were spot on in the aroma, but the flavor was a little off to my taste. Still a good use of orange, and oak wood.
