Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 9/1/08. Amber coloured with a slight white head. This seems to have a recipe change as it looked and tasted like a standard best bitter to me with a touch of spice in the aroma and flavour and some floral hops in the finish. A decent drink.

Back in action 25/9/07 at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol. Brown coloured with a slight off-white head. Aroma of nutty malt with a hint of sweetness. A bit chewy in the mouth with a dry finish. Not bad for a 3.8% beer.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 16/8/07, so not retired! Having said that, it made little impact. A bronze beer with minimal head. Slightly sweet malt aroma, followed by a fruity flavour and no finish. Ok.

Cask (handpump) @ Whitefriars Olde Ale House, CV1, Coventry. Clear medium yellow color with a small creamy / fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate hoppy, herbs, toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.

I can only agree with the previous comment. This was brewed to mark the end of smoking in pubs, but does not stand out in any way from the norm. A golden beer with not much aroma and a slightly sweet taste. I could find no trace of smoke in this inoffensive beer.

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Straw colour with a white head; sweet vanilla aroma; creamy in the mouth with honey and a trace of citrus; a sweet and honeyed finish. Light and refreshing, but too sweet for me.
