Cask at the Wenlock Arms, London
Beautiful amber color; thin creamy head. Malty, perfumy aroma, soapy, a bit fruity and hoppy, interesting. Malty taste, fresh, well hopped, enough aromatic, toffee; ends drier, with a quite good hopping. This is good stuff, very well brewed!

Cask, gravity dispense at Red Lion, Snargate, Kent. Golden beer with apple fruit on the nose, bit thinnish and acidic in mouth but with good hoppy finish that rescues it.

Cask at Harvey’s wine bar, Folkestone. Normally one of my favourites, but this was very tired. Golden in colour but thin nose, some citric acidity but not the bright flavours normally associated with this beer. Bit of hay on the nose. Thin finish

Cask conditioned at the Smithfield, Derby. Black (= very dark ruby) colour, low head. Prune / plum aroma. Flavour is quite fruity for a stout, but the coffee notes are there too. Decent.
