Cask conditioned at Inn on the Green, Bristol, November 2006. Clear gold with a slight white head. I found this bland for its strength. There was some tired hops in the aroma whilst the flavour was a tad sweet with some grapefruit. Not much of a finish to this dull beer.

Cask conditioned at Inn on the Green, Bristol, November 2006. Pale orange with a slight white head. Aroma contained some grassy hops. Flavour was citric with a bit of residual sweetness. Finish was dry and decent. A good beer - Archers may not be the best, but the beers are perfectly drinkable and I will be sorry if they close down.

I have checked my notes and I definitely drank this beer at the Cross Hands, Winterbourne Down, S Gloucs in October 2006. This was served in excellent condition with an amber colour and slight white head. The aroma was slightly toffeeish with some supporting hops. It was very easy drinking with a malty caramel flavour and smooth, dry finish. Very good - I had several pints of it.

Cask conditioned at the Black Horse, Amberley, Gloucs 22/4/07. Very middle-of-the road bitter. Amber, with next to no head. A hint of sweet fruit in the aroma followed by a slightly malty flavour and a short dry finish. Ordinary but served in good condition.
