Cask Conditioned at Charlie’s Pub, Copenhagen
Beautiful amber color; thin persistent head. Despite the light color, I would label it a Bitter, with the minimum supporting malt profile and an evident hop character; solid bitterness and quite interesting English hops, both in the aroma and final, a bit earthy.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 19/6/07. Pale gold with slight white head. This was a bit like the old BBC Seaside Specials of the 1970s: inoffensive, superficially attractive, unmemorable and creating little impact. This had little aroma or flavour worth mentioning, but was easy enough to drink once.

Cask conditioned at The Lord Rosebery, Scarborough. ABV was 5.0%. Golden colour, like the name says crystal clear. Low creamy head. Very moderate aroma, nothing stands out. Very dry and "dusty" mouthfeel, a slight acidity in the moderate flavour. Not impressive.

Cask at the Red Lion or was it the White Lion? anyway it was in Lechlade Gloucestershire 09-06-07. Poured amber in colour, uncomplicated solid bitter that ticks all the right boxes, tased fine but hardly excites.

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. A rather ordinary bitter. Chestnut with a thin white head; fruity malt flavours developing slowly (perhaps served too cold?); and a nutty dry finish. No complaints, but nothing to enthuse about.

Cask gravity at Red Lion, Snargate. Aroma of choc/coffee, dark syrup flavour in mouth, some molasses and then dry hoppy finish. Good for a cold May Bank Holiday Monday evening in a CAMRA National Inventory listed pub.

Cask conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 22/5/07. Brown with a slight head. A sweet, malty aroma followed by a fruity flavour and sour finish. Not a beer I would bother to drink again.

Dark golden beer with a small, lasting head and some lace as I begin drinking. Light caramel aroma, with very little hops noticable. Sweet caramel flavour very rich and with a grassy hops finish.
