Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 11/05/08. Golden coloured with a slight, white head. Aroma of sweet malt and some floral hops. Flavour was overly buttery with some bitterness in the finish. Not for me.

(Cask at Carpenter’s Arms, Marylebone, London, 26 April 2008) Dark amber colour with brief, off-white head. Malty, nutty nose with dark fruit and dusty hops. Malty, nutty taste with notes of biscuity malt and dusty hops in the fairly short finish. A decent bitter, but pretty boring to be honest.

From cask at Charlies. Pours clear and golden orange with a bubbly off-white head. Light sweet fruity hops aroma. Flavour starts fruity sweet before a light bitter/acid mix appears. Goes slowly more bitter into the finish and hence slowly accumulating a nice dry bitterness.

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. An amber beer with a thin light tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel as well as a light touch of flowers. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of toffee, leading to a dry and metallic bitter finish. I wonder if the metallic note is from the hops or it was begining to turn bad.
