(Cask at Speaker, Westminster, London, 21 Nov 2008) Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with biscuity malt, orange peel and earthy hops. Fruity, malty taste with notes of orange, biscuits ans earthy, citrussy hops in the finish. Doesn’t really shake my world, but its definitely well made, balanced and tasty. In short: biscuits and orange in nice harmony.

During a late lunch break at EBF I met the brewer, and he advised me to give this one a try. So I did, went to the British bar and got the brew from cask. Black as pitch, maybe with a brownish tint. Mildly aroma of roasted malts. Sweet, dark malts in flavour followed by a touch of liquorice and complemented by bitter coffee notes towards the ending. A bit diluted in the mouth, otherwise satisfying (13.09.2008).
