Bottle from the Brewery. First one i see by them with an actual label-branding. it shows a couple ( of course ) rather than the usual white-label-with-text. Kinda cool to shake things up after 141 labels that look the same, yet I dont think they will throw away the idea of the white labels. Anyway. Pours mildly cloudy amberblonde, small white head, not very persistant, but remains as a small layer. Smell is grainy, bit toast, bit bready. mild crisp, mild intensity. Taste is mild bitterness, a surprising amount of spice ( apparently cajun ) Don't really know the spice, but I quite like it. This beer has a very good balance. Spice is clearly there, providing a bit herbal, peppery, complex sidenote, but doesn't overpower the beer. Not too thin ( as most beerstormings do tend to have ) this is def one of their better brews !

Pours darker amber, unclear. Decent white head. Smell is spicy, very mild malt in the back. Taste is bit bitter, mi'd peppery, very herbal. Sharp, bit weak in the body. Mild soapy ending. Pretty typical beerstorming : much spices and a rather weak basebeer.

Sampled draft @ brewery. Hazy orange, creamy white head. Nose is grainy spoiled yoghurt yeast, cardboard. Strange boozy grains, spoiled yoghurt, yeast, sugar. Fizzy. Not a success for me.

Sampled draft @ brewery. Hazy golden, huge creamy white head, self-pour though. Nose is odd spoiled overly sweet rice pudding & some vanilla. Taste is weird grainy white sugar with big bit off rice pudding sweet with yeast, zero ginger,… Body is rice pudding yoghurt yeast. Nope this didn’t not work.

Tasted blind. Bottle sampled @ brewery. Darker amber, creamy tanned head. Nose is oddly boozy juniper alcoholic, classical BE Busch styled, weird sticky spice, orange peel. Boozy syrupy Busch styled BE alcoholic, hard to drink, carbonation is bit too high, cheap honey, overripe orange peel, empty, boozy hard to drink & some brett (un intentional but it helped it a bit). Thick syrupy orange, low brett. Galanga I got after I learned about it but not sage, to heavy, empty, weird, brett helps a bit.

Tasted blind. Bottle sampled @ brewery. Orange, small white head. Nose is weird plastic, spoiled vegetable, off-grains. Taste is weirdly bitter oily smoked, strangely boozy, vegetable, bitter plastic. Bitter lingering body, almost boozy. Strange, lots of weird not too pleasant notes, hard to point. Even after learning that it has turmeric in it, I didn’t get a typical turmeric profile, maybe it went weird in the beer.

Tasted blind. Bottle sampled @ brewery. Orange, hazy, creamy white head. Nose has caramel, fruity sweet with almost vanilla, some sweeter yoghurt. Taste is fruity, caramel, grainy with mellow brett funk, lingering in the finish,… Lively brett bodied but that was blind. Once I knew that was in it the kumquat became evident everywhere, faintly tangy big citrus / kumquat, little hop or IPA qualities, it has very nice fruit profile, softer carbonation, drinks easily. Not a real IPA but a quite nice fruit beer.

Tasted blind. Bottle sampled @ brewery. orange hazy, solid creamy white head. Nose is milky bit spoiled yeast, hazy, low fruit, not optimal. Taste is surprisingly fruity, got more like dried apricot with yeast, quite fruity bit sweeter finish with almost a bit of vanilla, turned out to be Cajun spices. Body is yeasty. Akin to an agreeable fruit beer even if it wasn’t one.

Tasted blind. Bottle sampled @ brewery. Orange, non-lasting white head. Nose is rather muted, almost bit oxidized. Carbonation is higher, grainy, bit empty upfront, grainy, some hop but main bitterness finish is akin to a bitter spice like juniper berries, turned out that this has a citrus fruit in it weird, bitter spice finish elevates it, most notable aspect.

Draft sampled @ brewery. Brewed with Jasmin green tea & hibiscus. Red amber, huge creamy white head. Nose is sweeter hibiscus, vague fruit yeast & some odd yeasty yoghurt. Taste is rotting flowers, unpleasant spoiled yoghurt, grainy, touch higher carbonation, finish is surprisingly heavy & bitter jasmine. Finish is interesting but base is quite problematic, spoiled yoghurt & otherwise for me.
